Jamie Nagle Syracuse Mayor

  Jamie is an accomplished leader with executive experience and qualifications in human resources and general management – A 20 year career demonstrates steady, upward progression and success in  building and leading award winning teams, initiating rapid turnarounds and implementing broad process changes.  Jamie has proven to be effective in high-profile leadership roles providing vision and strategic direction, and a hands–on management approach.  She is driven and adaptable with an uncanny ability to see the big picture.  Jamie is highly effective in problem-solving, coaching and decision-making capabilities.    As the Former Mayor of Syracuse and a Human Resource Professional Jamie's experience includes both public and private sector human resources and executive leadership.  She excelled as a member of Governor Jon Huntsman's performance management team where she was nationally recognized for developing and successfully executing strategic management initiatives and formally recognized by Gov. Huntsman as a leader who helped Utah become the Best Managed State in the Nation. As a human resource professional, Jamie was an early champion of introducing a work site health clinic to maximize healthcare dollars for the organization while building associate engagement. She also organized successful legislation to change the laws in Utah to allow workplace medical clinics to dispense non-scheduled drugs from a clinic. Jamie has a passion for public service and working in her capacity as a Mayor, she led the way in introducing the most effective Suicide Prevention Program to date in junior high and high schools throughout the state of Utah. She also brought a No Child Left Out park, through private fundraising, to Syracuse, Utah.  A park where all kids, regardless of ability can play side by side. Jamie is a fiercely loyal graduate of the University of Utah where she obtained a degree in Political Science, International Studies and International Relations. She and her husband Kevin have three children and a beautiful granddaughter.
